Studio 3 Art

Celebrating Innovation, Creativity, and Community

I’m incredibly honoured to share that I have received the Innovation and Tech Award  the Rochford District Council Business Awards. This recognition means so much—not just as a personal milestone, but as a celebration of everything the Studio represents: creativity, community, and connection.

From the very beginning, my focus has always been about more than just my own artwork. While creativity is at the heart of what I do, the Studio has grown into a space that supports others, brings people together, and champions local talent. To have that recognised at this level is truly special.

One of the things I’m most proud of is since opening supporting over 50 artists by giving them a platform to display, sell, and raise their profile locally. Every piece of artwork tells a story and being able to help artists share those stories within the community is something I deeply value.

Last year, I also had the privilege of running the Rayleigh Art Trail—a project that connected local businesses with artists over a two-week period. It not only showcased an incredible range of art but encouraged people to explore the high street, discover new businesses taking part, and engage with creativity in a completely different way. Seeing the community come together, walking the trail and supporting both artists and businesses, was a real highlight.

Sustainability and meaning are also woven into my work. I reuse leftover paints to create jewellery, coasters, bookmarks, and other pieces—ensuring that nothing goes to waste while giving materials a new life. Alongside this, I offer a deeply personal service of incorporating a loved one’s ashes into jewellery. It’s an honour to create something so meaningful that people can carry with them every day.

Teaching is another important part of what I do. I work with a wide range of students—from home-schooled learners to artists looking for guidance and inspiration on their next steps. Everything I teach comes from my own experience, and I’m passionate about helping others build confidence in their creativity and find their own artistic voice.

As a one-woman business, I wear many hats. I’m the artist, the social media manager, the customer service contact, and the accountant—all rolled into one. It can be challenging, but it’s also incredibly rewarding. Every part of the journey is personal, and that’s something I wouldn’t change. Whether through artwork, teaching, or community projects, my goal has always been to make creativity accessible and inspiring.

A special thank you goes to Rochford District Council and all of the sponsors involved in making this such a worthwhile event. Your support not only celebrates innovation but genuinely uplifts small businesses like mine and strengthens the wider community.

This award is a reflection of the amazing support I’ve received from the local community—customers, artists, students, and businesses alike. Thank you for believing in what I do and for being part of this journey. This recognition belongs to all of us.

Here’s to continuing to create, connect, and innovate together.
